ATV & Buggy Adventures Pattaya
What training is on offer
This is a guided off-road activity rather than a conventional gym or skills school. The operator runs two scheduled countryside routes from its base in Pong near Lake Mabprachan. Its Explorer tour covers 27 kilometres and describes about two hours of riding within a three-hour programme. The Adventure tour covers 34 kilometres with the same stated riding and total duration.
The operator describes Explorer as its beginner and family option and Adventure as the intermediate choice for more confident drivers. It lists automatic CFMoto 500 cc ATVs, two-seat 660 cc buggies and four-seat 1,500 cc buggies, but the published route price does not by itself guarantee a particular vehicle. The standard group is capped at 12 vehicles. This directory has not treated a tour briefing as formal driver training.
What it costs
Prices checked on the operator's tour page on 26 July 2026 were ฿2,990 for the Explorer route and ฿3,500 for the Adventure route. A private VIP departure was listed as a ฿2,000 per-group addition. The operator says the ordinary tour includes an English-speaking guide, helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, a meal and hotel transfer in Pattaya.
Ask for a written total tied to the vehicle, number of drivers and passengers, route and date. Optional GoPro use and any other additions should be priced separately before payment.
Who it suits — and who it does not
Explorer is the operator's stated fit for first-time drivers and families; Adventure is the stated fit for intermediate or confident drivers. Both suit a visitor who wants a guided, book-ahead outdoor activity rather than an independent vehicle rental.
It does not suit someone seeking an unsupervised track session, a guaranteed technical driving lesson or a walk-in activity with no eligibility check. Families should obtain the operator's current minimum ages and passenger rules rather than infer them from the word “family.” For other book-ahead outdoor records, compare the adventure category.
Getting there
The base is at 22/6 Moo 6, Pong, Bang Lamung, near Lake Mabprachan in East Pattaya. Maps lists the venue from 09:00 to 18:00 daily, while the operator's contact page gives office-contact hours of 08:00 to 20:00 daily. Those are operating windows, not guaranteed departure times.
The operator advertises Pattaya hotel transfer with its tours. Confirm that the exact hotel or villa is inside the pickup area, the collection time, return arrangement and whether the meeting point changes for a private departure. The East Pattaya area page shows why an inland pin should be checked before booking around a beach hotel.
Before you go
Contact +66 80 560 8811 with the date, route, driver count, passenger count and preferred vehicle. Ask what identification or driving licence is required, the minimum driver and passenger ages, footwear and clothing rules, weather or cancellation terms, damage deposit and the activity's insurance position. Reconfirm which safety items are supplied and whether prescription glasses can be worn with the goggles.
Do not arrive based only on the general daily hours. Obtain a departure time and pickup confirmation, and ask whether the meal can accommodate dietary requirements.
What we could not verify
The checked first-hand pages did not publish a complete age table, licence rule, passenger-weight limits, damage-deposit amount, cancellation schedule or policy wording for insurance. They also did not tie each listed vehicle to each headline route price. Those gaps are booking questions, not evidence that a requirement or extra charge does not exist.
