A plain account of browser storage, hosting and the outside services you choose to open.

What we collect, in plain English

We do not load Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, and do not send search, comparison or planning events to Google analytics services.

The practical tools use these local data mechanisms:

  1. Browser localStorage. pgym_recent_v1 stores up to 8 recently opened venues; pg_favorites_v1 stores up to 100 saved venues. Both stay in your browser, are never sent to Pattaya.Gym, and can be cleared in browser settings.
  2. URL parameters on /compare/. When you compare venues, the picks are encoded in the URL itself (?a=&b=&c=&d=) so the comparison is bookmarkable and shareable. The URL is the data; we store nothing about your comparison server-side.
  3. Browser sessionStorage. pg_compare_slots_v1 remembers up to four comparison places, pg_plan_v1 remembers planner preferences, and pg_search_return_v1 remembers the search filters to return to. These stay in your browser for the session. Comparison and plan URLs include the selected public venue IDs or preferences so you can bookmark or share them; recipients can see that URL state. Clear browser site data to remove stored preferences. If browser storage is unavailable, saved places last only on the current page; bookmark or copy useful links before leaving.

What we do not do

  • No first-party login. No user accounts. No password storage.
  • No advertising of any kind. No retargeting pixels. No affiliate trackers. We have never been paid to feature, rank, or hide any venue.
  • No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting. No data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor data — there is nothing to sell.
  • No newsletter or marketing email collection on the site itself.

Cookies

This version sets no Google Analytics cookies. Older visits may have left analytics cookies or a pg_analytics_consent_v1 preference; these are no longer read or used. You can remove them through your browser’s site-data settings. Cloudflare security and third-party maps or video can use their own storage.

AI and LLM crawler policy

Our robots.txt explicitly allows the major AI/LLM crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, Meta-ExternalAgent, Bytespider, cohere-ai, Diffbot, Amazonbot, and others) to retrieve our content for training and live retrieval. This is a deliberate editorial choice: a public, accurate Pattaya directory is more useful inside AI tools than locked away from them. We do not provide any private user data to these crawlers — only the same HTML pages a human browser sees.

Third parties

  • Cloudflare Pages hosts the site. Cloudflare receives a request log per page view (IP, user agent, URL) for routing and DDoS protection. Logs are managed under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Fonts are self-hosted from /fonts/ on our own domain (Round 18). No third-party font CDN is contacted on page load.

Venue videos use dated reports from their named publishers. Preview images load from YouTube’s image service when you open the page, sending your IP address and browser information to YouTube. The privacy-enhanced YouTube player makes further requests only when you press play. The original video link remains available.

Google Maps panels on selected venue pages load only when you choose “Open interactive map”. Your browser then connects to Google to display the map and place information. Google can receive your IP address and browser information and may use cookies under Google’s privacy policy. The ordinary venue links remain available without loading a panel.

Who publishes this site

Pattaya.Gym is one of several independent publications operated by TimPaemi Co., Ltd.. Each runs on the same independence and editorial standards. Each site has its own privacy policy.

Your rights — GDPR (EU/UK) and PDPA (Thailand)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, deletion or correction, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Email info@pattaya-gym.com for a privacy request. Clearing this site's browser data also removes local preferences and saved venues from that browser.

Children

This is a general-interest sport directory. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in the site changelog. The "last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
